Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know what size cover I need?

Always measure your hot tub shell, not your existing cover. Old covers stretch, shrink, and warp over time, so measuring from them will give you inaccurate dimensions. Measure the length, width, corner radius, and the lip of the tub. Or better yet — let us come out and measure for you.

How long will my new Alpine cover last?

With proper care, an Alpine cover typically lasts 5–10 years. Classic Silver covers carry a 2-year manufacturer's warranty; Classic Gold covers come with a 3-year warranty. Regularly cleaning the vinyl with a mild soap, applying a vinyl conditioner like 303 Protectant, and keeping snow and standing water off the cover will significantly extend its life.

What maintenance does my cover need?

• Remove snow and standing water promptly — excess weight can warp or break the foam core
• Clean the vinyl with mild soap and water; never use solvents, petroleum-based cleaners, or products containing silicone or alcohol
• Apply a vinyl conditioner every 3–6 months
• Always fully remove the cover before adding chemicals — splash can damage the vinyl
• Keep the lock straps fully extended (not stretched) to help the wind locks function properly

Does the warranty cover weather damage or normal wear?

The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for 2–3 years depending on the model. It does not cover weather-related damage, normal fading, misuse, or damage caused by using a cover removal device improperly. The foam core is warranted against waterlogging (gaining more than 50% of its original weight), but only if the vapor barrier remains intact. Handles are covered for 12 months; locking fastener components are covered for the full warranty period.

Can you remove my old cover when you deliver the new one?
