What Is an Ozonator Check Valve?
An ozonator check valve is a one-way flow valve installed in the ozone supply line between your ozonator unit and the spa's plumbing. It allows ozone gas to flow into the water, while preventing water from travelling back up the tubing and into the ozonator — which can cause serious and costly damage to the unit.
Over time, check valves degrade due to constant exposure to ozone, heat, and water chemistry. Replacing a faulty check valve is one of the most common hot tub ozone system repairs.
