What is the difference between the 6-button (54716) and 7-button (53811) version?
The 6-button version (34-54716-K / 54716) controls 2 pumps but does not include a blower button. The 7-button version (53811) adds a dedicated blower control. If your original panel had no blower button, the 54716 is the correct choice.
Does this control come with the overlay?
Yes. The 34-54716-K includes the matching 6-button overlay (Ref. No. 11756), which shows Warm, Mode, Cool on the left and Light, Jets 1, Jets 2 on the right. No additional purchase is necessary.
What connector type does this panel use?
The VL700S uses an 8-pin phone jack style plug (RJ45) on a 7-foot cord — the same standard connector found on most Balboa control systems. It is a plug-and-play replacement for compatible systems.
My hot tub brand isn't listed — can I still use this panel?
Possibly, yes. Many hot tub manufacturers use Balboa Water Group electronics under their own brand name. If your spa uses a Balboa HS200, HS200M7, VS Series, or GS Series control pack, this panel is very likely compatible. Contact us with your details and we'll help you find out.
Can I return this part if it doesn't fit my spa?
